Donation Match Week is right now!
Today through Nov. 8 a match of up to $70,000 is available for participating organizations thanks to a grant from the Patterson Family Foundation. This will be the ninth year of Moundridge’s matching event that is meant to help nonprofits build their endowments. A total of $140,039 was raised during the event last year.
Matching funds are awarded proportionate to the total donated during the week. Each organization is eligible to receive a maximum of 20% of the match. For example, if an organization receives 20% of the total donations towards their endowment, they will receive 20% of the match to use for immediate needs.
“This event is an opportunity for organizations to build a permanent resource while securing grant funds for current needs or programs” Becky Goss, President and CEO of managing affiliate organization the McPherson County Community Foundation said.
Donations to participating organizations can be given in-person at the library drop box or at the official gathering on Thursday, Nov. 7 at The Hub Brick Oven & Brewery. Donations will be accepted there from 3-7 p.m.
Online donations can be made through our online donation portal found on the MCF webpage (https://mccf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate) and will be accepted up to midnight on Nov. 8. Mailed donations must be postmarked no later than Nov. 8:
