This year America celebrates 100 years of Women’s right to vote and the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment. “Fight of the Century: Alice Pauls battles Woodrow Wilson for the vote” by Barb Rosenstock follows Alice Pauls as she continues the Women’s Suffrage Movement in the US. For 5 years Alice Pauls battled Woodrow Wilson for the right to vote. She and other suffragettes protested, picketed, they were ridiculed and thrown in jail for their peaceful demonstrations. Alice Pauls never quit, she persevered until she was heard and could vote.
