My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray

Like many Americans I have been swept up into Hamilton mania, and this title feeds that. My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray is an Eliza Schuyler Hamilton story. It pulls back the veil on Elizabeth Schuyler, Alexander Hamilton’s wife. Elizabeth/Eliza/Betsy is a remarkable woman and an engaging narrator. The story follows her from the elopement of her sister Angelica to the late years of her life, highlighting the work and commitment that Revolutionary women had to the cause and Eliza’s commitment to Hamilton and to children. This well researched historical novel is wonderfully entertaining and full of historical twists and turns. Get caught up in the world of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton, you’ll be glad you did.
